CINJ Doctor Receives Community Recognition as an Outstanding Father
Montgomery Resident to be Honored by New Brunswick Church
New Brunswick, N.J. – Isaac Kim, MD, PhD, executive director of the Dean and Betty Gallo Prostate Cancer Center at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ), has been selected to receive recognition as an outstanding father from the Abundant Life Family Worship Church (ALFWC) in New Brunswick. CINJ is a Center of Excellence of UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
ALFWC says that fathers like Dr. Kim set the tone for supporting their community by exhibiting the types of behavior that promote success. Kim, who is also the chief of Urologic Oncology at CINJ and an associate professor of surgery at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, was selected to receive this honor based on his qualities as a father and his contributions to the New Brunswick community.
Kim is known for his tireless dedication to patients as well as his commitment to community outreach. For the past five years, he helped spearhead free prostate cancer screenings held by the Dean and Betty Gallo Prostate Cancer Center at CINJ and the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Community Health Promotion Program. As a result, more than 2,200 men from New Brunswick and other area communities have been tested. Kim has also made groundbreaking steps in the field of robotic surgery.
He still finds time to spend with his wife and four young children allowing them to brag that "this is an honor he truly deserves."
