The Cancer Institute of New Jersey Oncology Group (CINJOG)
Clinical research is the backbone of the medical innovations that we all benefit from every day. Without research, we would be unable to advance medicine and improve the care we provide to patients. To that end, The Cancer Institute of New Jersey Oncology Group, also known as CINJOG, was developed at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey from an association of referring physicians, into a network of hospitals and community oncology practices that participate in investigator-initiated and cooperative oncology group studies to help bring clinical trials to communities throughout the entire State of New Jersey. This collaboration is helping find the answers to research questions more quickly by increasing the access to, and enrollment in clinical trials.
CINJOG combines the strengths and skills of expert providers to the entire state of New Jersey so that patients are able to receive promising new treatments closer to home without the burden of travel. As new clinical trials are opened at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, every effort is made to make sure the trial is available to physicians in CINJOG practices across the State so that they can then offer the study treatments to patients in their local offices, closer to home from a physician and healthcare team they already know.
