Early on in my residency training at the University of Maryland, I realized that I was destined to become a pediatric hematologist/oncologist. This realization led me to pursue fellowship training at the Medical University of South Carolina. Following my fellowship training, I worked as a physician in the solid tumor division of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
While I evaluate and treat all pediatric oncology and hematology patients, my primary clinical interest is in the treatment of solid tumors. Along with the support of our multidisciplinary team within the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program at CINJ, I take a family centered approach to educate patients and their families on each individual diagnosis and various treatment options so that they may make informed decisions regarding their care. Some of these treatment options may include clinical trials.
My clinical research interests involve the use of novel agents in the treatment of pediatric solid tumors, therapeutic toxicities, and secondary malignancies.
