Clinical Investigations Program
Program Leaders: Joseph Aisner, MD and Bruce Haffty, MD
Overall Goals:
The Clinical Investigations Program is structured to encourage and promote maximum scientific interactions among clinical, population and laboratory investigators, and provides a platform to facilitate rapid movement of laboratory discoveries into clinical trials.
Specific Aims:
- To develop and validate therapeutic approaches targeting oncogenic tumor cell survival and proliferation mechanisms.
- To develop therapeutic approaches that modulate cancer mechanisms of stress sensitivity and resistance.
- To develop therapeutic approaches that target the microenvironment and immune surveillance.
- To develop approaches to determine, calibrate, and validate biological activity and biomarkers of therapeutic approaches and preventive therapeutics.
