Toppmeyer, M.D. Overall Goals: to identify populations or individuals at high risk, by discovering the mechanisms underlying the etiology and progression of disease, by identifying new approaches to prevention, treatment and molecular determinants of response and by disseminating critically important information to communities throughout the state. Specific Goals: Significant progress has been made in developing powerful genetic tools for the identification of populations at risk and genetic alterations that occur during breast cancer development. |
