I recently joined Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey as a gynecologic oncologist and the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences following completion of my gynecologic oncology fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
It is a privilege and honor to be able to take part of a patient’s journey through this difficult time of a cancer diagnosis. I am dedicated to providing individualized and comprehensive patient care and helping navigate through different transitions of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. My areas of clinical expertise are in minimally invasive surgical techniques as well as complex open pelvic and upper abdominal procedures for benign and malignant conditions.
I am the author or co-author of numerous publications and abstracts focusing on women’s health and gynecologic malignancies and have presented at national meetings on gynecologic cancers early phase clinical trials. Here at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, I work closely together with other members of our multidisciplinary team to develop and conduct clinical trials in order to offer the most advanced treatment options to my patients. Participation in clinical trials and precision medicine allows patients access to novel targeted therapies for their gynecologic cancer.
I see patients at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey in New Brunswick as well as at the Steeplechase Cancer Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. I am fluent in Korean.
Ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, cervical cancer, uterine cancer, and clinical trials.
