Directions to East Tower

East TowerRutgers Cancer Institute's East Tower facility, located on the 9th floor at 200 Little Albany Street in downtown New Brunswick, is easily accessible by car, bus, or train.

Driving Directions:

For GPS purposes, please use 1 Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick as the address.

From Route 18 North - Exit onto Route 27 South (Princeton) and proceed to the fourth traffic light (at the New Brunswick train station). Turn right onto Easton Avenue and proceed to the first traffic light. Turn left onto Somerset Street and turn left at the next light onto Little Albany Street. Proceed approximately 200 yards to the East Tower building entrance on your right.

From New Jersey Turnpike - Take Exit 9 (New Brunswick) to Route 18 North, proceed approximately two miles and follow directions above.

From Route 1 - Exit onto Route 18 North and follow directions above.

From Garden State Parkway - (from points north) - Take Exit 130 (Route 1 South). Proceed approximately nine miles on Route 1 to Route 18 North. Follow directions above.

From Garden State Parkway - (from points south) - Take Exit 129 (New Jersey Turnpike), proceed south, and follow directions above.

From Route 287 - Take Exit 10 (Easton Avenue/New Brunswick). Continue on Easton Avenue for approximately six miles, until a railroad overpass is visible. Just before the overpass, make a right onto Little Albany Street.

The Rutgers Cancer Institute is located in downtown New Brunswick, minutes from the New Jersey Turnpike and Routes 1 and 18. Parking:

Valet parking at the main Rutgers Cancer Institute building entrance at 195 Little Albany is available to patients with appointments at a cost of $3.00 up to two hours and $6.00 for anything beyond two hours. Once you drop your car off at the main entrance, you will need to cross the street and walk up a flight of stairs to reach the East Tower building. If you do not wish to use the Rutgers Cancer Institute valet service, a list of parking alternatives is provided below. There is a cost to park at these facilities.

  • Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Parking Deck (right next to East Tower on Little Albany Street)
    • Parking rates are charged by the hour and the first hour is free
  • New Brunswick Parking Authority - Parking rates are charged by the hour
    • Gateway Garage (0.2 mi from main entrance)
      The Gateway Garage is located at the intersection of Easton Avenue and Wall Street (directly behind the New Brunswick Train Station) and is about a block away from the front entrance of Rutgers Cancer Institute on Little Albany Street.
    • Plum Street Garage (0.3 mi from main entrance)
      The Plum Street Garage is located on Plum Street between Somerset St. and French St. approximately a 6 minute walk from the main Rutgers Cancer Institute entrance.
    • Paterson Street Deck (0.4 mi from main entrance)
      The Paterson Street Deck is located on Paterson Street between Joyce Kilmer Ave. and Scott St. approximately an 8 minute walk from the main Rutgers Cancer Institute entrance.

By Train:

Take the New Jersey Transit/Northeast Corridor Line to the New Brunswick Station. At the railroad overpass, cross Easton Avenue to Little Albany Street. Proceed approximately 200 yards to Rutgers Cancer Institute East Tower building.
