Located in Newark, New Jersey, Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey at University Hospital is home to a dedicated team of healthcare professionals who work together to provide patients with the most advanced medical, surgical and radiation oncology services available. The team helps patients and families make appropriate decisions for cancer care.

Patients are evaluated for multi-modality cancer treatments including chemotherapy, minimally invasive surgical options, radiation therapy, and novel clinical trials including immunotherapy, targeted therapies, precision medicine, and new combination therapies.

Working together with a multidisciplinary team of cancer specialists our Radiation Oncology Department uses highly advanced radiation therapy techniques including:

  • Multimodality imaging for defining tumor volume
  • State-of-the-art Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
  • MRI-based treatment planning
  • Interstitial brachytherapy using high dosage rate treatment

Non-chemotherapy infusion services are available on Saturday and Sunday, from 8:00 AM - 12:00 noon
