Duncan MacMillan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University in 1966. He is one of the four founders of Bloomberg LP, an information service and media company serving customers around the world. He is credited with designing many of the computer systems the Bloomberg Company uses to disseminate information and communicate critical data to subscribers. Prior to founding the company, Duncan worked at Salomon Brothers. He began his career with Bankers Trust in 1967, where he met his wife, Nancy.
Duncan serves his alma mater as an Emeritus member of the Board of Trustees and as Secretary, Board of Overseers, and Rutgers University Foundation. He also served as a member of the Foundation of The Medical Center at Princeton. Duncan is currently chair of the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey Director’s Leadership Council.
