Research Interests

  • Studying the role for the serine/threonine kinase Pak4 in cancer. Since Pak4 is upregulated in so many types of cancers, it would appear to be general mediator of oncogenic transformation, playing a vital role in many types of cancer. This makes it an attractive candidate for drug therapy for many types of cancer. In our lab we use cell lines overexpressing Pak4, as well as Pak4 knockout mice to study the role of Pak4 in oncogenic transformation in cell lines, as well as in mouse models.
