Research Interests

  • Investigating how the Rb/E2F pathway and other tumor suppressor/oncogenic pathways function and interact to control normal development and cancer. Both in vitro cell/tissue culture systems and in vivo genetically modified mouse models are used to delineate various signaling networks in two primary model systems: 1) to delineate the molecular mechanisms underlying the synergy of Rb and E2F8 in to promote DNA replication and terminal differentiation and to prevent lymphomagenesis, 2) to investigate the in vivo role of E2Fs on prostate cancer initiation, progression, and castration resistance.
