About Me

I have been employed at Rutgers Cancer Institute for almost two decades and have worked as a nurse for forty years. It certainly sounds like a long time and I consider myself very fortunate to be in a profession that allows for tremendous personal growth and contentment. In the beginning I worked at an urban hospital on the Oncology unit with incredible veteran nurses, and from there moved on to intensive care, occupational, and community health in hospice and palliative care. In 2012, completed an advance degree in nursing and currently work with providers in Hematology and Medical Oncology seeing patients in our treatment areas to manage symptoms, emergencies and perform diagnostic procedures.

Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey participates in the Medicare initiative called the Oncology Care Model (OCM), and was designed to improve cancer care, as one of the team members we deliver high quality, coordinated care.

As a contributor of Rutgers Cancer Institute nursing education the goal is to develop resources for nursing, and patient centered programs.

To conclude it is a privilege to care for patients, and on a daily basis I am reminded of their resilience and strength.

Our Advanced Practice Providers work in collaboration with the physicians in their respective oncology programs and may not always be scheduled directly.
