  • A recent publication on "Leukemia inhibitory factor protects against graft-versus-host disease while preserving graft-versus-leukemia activity" was featured in the American Society of Hematology's Blood Podcast: Listen Here
     
  • Wenwei Hu, PhD, received a three-year grant from DOD, BCRP Breakthrough Award to study the molecular signaling of chronic stress in promoting breast cancer development. The aim of this study is to provide insights into the increased breast cancer risk due to chronic stress and provide foundation that helps guide the design of new strategies to prevent breast cancer promoted by chronic stress. (Grant started August 2016)
     
  • Yuhan Zhao, a third year PhD graduate student, has been selected as one of three recipients of the 2016-2017 Shatkin scholarship. The award was presented October 18, 2016.
