American Cancer Society: Hospice Care OR Nearing the End of Life - The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

CancerCare: Hospice and End-of-Life -  Founded in 1944, CancerCare is the leading national organization providing free, professional support services and information to help people manage the emotional, practical and financial challenges of cancer.

Cancer.Net: Advanced Cancer - This is the patient information Web site of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). It is designed to help patients and families make informed health-care decisions.

Caring Info - The Caring Connections Web site was created by The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization to provide free, easy-to-understand resources. Here you can find information on advance directives, living with a serious illness, being a caregiver, or grieving a loss.

Hospice Foundation of America - Learn about hospice care, read hospice stories and find answers to your questions.

MayoClinic: End of Life - This site provides access to the experience and knowledge of the more than 2,000 physicians and scientists of Mayo Clinic.  Click on links for information on hospice, living wills and advance directives, end of life care and grief.

National Association for Home Care & Hospice: Consumers Information - Find home care and hospice information as well as a home care and hospice agency locator.

National Cancer Institute: Coping with Advanced Cancer - The NCI, established under the National Cancer Act of 1937, is the Federal Government's principal agency for cancer research and training.  This booklet will help you cope with the anxiety and uncertainty associated with advanced cancer.
