Our blood cancer specialists focus on patients with acute and chronic leukemia, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplasia, myeloproliferative diseases, and other hematologic malignancies in addition to benign blood disorders. They work together to provide the most effective and advanced treatments offered, many available only at NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers such as ours.
Our care team is comprised of the nation’s most experienced physicians in treating rare and complex blood cancers with clinical trials, immunotherapy, and other cellular therapies, including CAR T-Cell therapy which are FACT (Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy) certified. In addition, we offer a wide range of oncology support services to help patients navigate their diagnosis, treatment plan, and recovery.
In collaboration with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, Rutgers Cancer Institute is home to one of the state’s only blood and marrow transplant (BMT) programs, and is the only one at an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Rutgers Cancer Institute is recognized as a Center of Excellence by the Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) Foundation in the research, diagnosis and treatment of MDS disorders.
