About Me
Dr. Kathleen Beebe is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of sarcomas and metastatic bone disease. She is an orthopaedic surgical oncologist at Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health.
Dr. Kathleen Beebe’s clinical expertise is focused in the field of benign and malignant, soft tissue and bone tumors in the extremities and pelvis, providing the latest diagnostic tools and treatment options to improve treatment outcomes. She is particularly interested in maintaining function after surgery and has extensive experience managing complex or rare types of sarcomas.
As an orthopaedic oncologist, her goals in patient care are to restore and maintain patient function while dealing with limb and life-threatening illness. She assesses each patient's individual needs so that together, you can come up with a treatment plan that meets your needs.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Kathleen Beebe maintains an active role in cancer research. She is engaged in cutting-edge, high impact clinical trials studying after limb and life threatening tumors in the extremities. Dr. Beebe has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and frequently engages in national and international oncology conferences. Through this work, She aims to translate scientific discoveries into more effective treatments for patients.
She completed her medical degree from Columbia University in 1999, continued as a resident at UMDNJ, now Rutgers University, New Jersey Medical School, and completed a fellowship at UMNDJ, now Rutgers University, New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Beebe currently sees patients at the Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Newark, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. As a part of our multidisciplinary Orthopaedic Oncology care team, Dr. Beebe is here to support you throughout your cancer journey.
