I am excited to be a medical oncologist and hematologist at Rutgers Cancer Institute and University Hospital Newark.
I completed my undergraduate studies at University of Maryland College Park and received dual degrees in biology and psychology. During this time, I also worked extensively at a psychiatric firm and further developed my interest in medicine. I attended medical school at the University of Caribbean, followed by residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. I completed my medical oncology and hematology fellowship at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School as well, where I also served as a Chief Fellow.
Rutgers Cancer Institute is the only NCI-designated cancer in New Jersey and provides comprehensive and compassionate care to all patients. Working in a multidisciplinary team that involves pathologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nurses and social workers, allows us to provide exceptional care to patients through coordination of care and a comprehensive understanding of each patient’s case. My unique background in both psychology and biology allows me to address all supportive care issues and provide holistic care to each patient. It is my goal to ensure all my patients have access to the latest treatments and to provide patients with the most advanced cutting-edge treatments that include clinical trials, immunotherapy, and precision medicine.
I treat all types of hematologic and oncologic conditions with a special clinical and research interest in breast and gastrointestinal cancers.
