EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute are expanding statewide access to comprehensive breast cancer care with the opening of the new Breast Health Center in East Brunswick. The outpatient center offers comprehensive breast health services, including advanced treatment options, access to world-class clinical trials, and dedicated patient navigation — ensuring the highest level of care, available close to home.
As New Jersey’s only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, Rutgers Cancer Institute, together with RWJBarnabas Health, provides advanced breast cancer treatment that includes chemotherapy, radiation therapy, clinical trials, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and advanced surgical options.
“We are dedicated to providing the best possible breast cancer treatment in a compassionate and patient-centered environment,” said Steven K. Libutti, MD, FACS, William N. Hait Director of Rutgers Cancer Institute and Senior Vice President of Oncology Services at RWJBarnabas Health. “The opening of this new center is part of a major investment we are making in oncology services throughout the Garden State, with expanded access to multidisciplinary care and innovative research and clinical trials close to home.”
The new Breast Health Center treats a wide range of conditions for both women and men, including malignant and benign breast disease, recurrent breast tumors, and high-risk breast lesions. Dedicated patient navigators work with patients to coordinate care and facilitate access to clinical trials and other therapy options. The facility, conveniently located at 645 Route 18 in East Brunswick, is open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ample free parking is available.
