About Me
I am a Gynecologic Oncologist at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics/Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. I completed my gynecologic oncology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to that, I completed my residency training at Columbia University and my medical school education at New York Medical College.
I am passionate about women’s health and committed to providing the highest quality of comprehensive, personalized and compassionate care. Receiving a cancer diagnosis is terrifying and I feel it is a tremendous honor and privilege to care for and treat women during an extremely difficult time in their lives. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is the ability to create a lifelong connection with my patients and families. I strive to provide care that aims to maximize quality of life.
I specialize in the surgical and medical treatment of gynecologic malignancies, including cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal and vulvar cancers. My areas of expertise are in minimally invasive complex laparoscopic and robotic surgery, radical cytoreductive surgery, and the administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other novel therapeutics. I understand the importance of providing patients access to cutting-edge research. I have participated in both clinical and basic science research projects. During fellowship, I spent one year in a lab investigating mechanisms of resistance to PARP inhibitors in ovarian cancer cell lines. I am interested in developing clinical trials at Rutgers Cancer Institute and collaborating with the clinical trials team so patients have access to novel therapeutics. I also have a keen interest in quality improvement research and cancer disparities. Education of fellows, residents and medical students is one of my passions. Prior to coming to Rutgers Cancer Institute, I practiced at Westchester Medical Center for four years, where I served as the residency Gynecologic Oncology Clerkship Director.
At Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, I work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of radiation oncologists, medical and surgical oncologists, gynecologists, geneticists, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, nutritionists and social workers. I am proud to be able to work with a team that is dedicated to providing world-class care to each of our patients.
