I am a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist and assistant professor of surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. I specialize in the comprehensive treatment of gastrointestinal cancers-- including cancers of the liver, bile ducts, pancreas, stomach, peritoneum, small intestine, and colon. I received my medical degree from the University of Maryland and completed my surgical residency at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell. I then went on to complete a fellowship in complex general surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I am a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.
My philosophy of care is rooted in treated every patient as an individual-- with compassion, respect, and a treatment plan tailored to their unique diagnosis, goals, and needs. I am dedicated to providing evidence-based, state-of-the-art surgical care including minimally invasive and robotic techniques when appropriate, while always focusing on achieving the best balance of cancer treatment, recovery, and quality of life. I believe the best cancer care comes from a multidisciplinary team, and I am fortunate to work alongside an exceptional group of physicians, nurses, and support staff here at RWJBH and the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
Together, we will work with you and your family to navigate every step of your cancer journey, ensuring that you feel informed, supported, and cared for throughout your treatment.
