New Brunswick, N.J. – Arnold D. Rubin, MD, director of the Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplantation Program at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ) and professor of medicine at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, will be recognized next month by the Community Blood Services Foundation at its Fourth Annual Trustees’ Gala. CINJ is a Center of Excellence of UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The Woodcliff Lake resident will be presented with the Humanitarian Award at the October 8th event in Mahwah for his varied work on treatment and research in the area of hematologic malignancies. Dr. Rubin, who has authored more than 50 articles and written over 30 abstracts and other publications, has expertise and research interests in the areas of bone marrow transplants, leukemia, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and radioimmunotherapy.
Rubin is a Chairman Emeritus of the Community Blood Services Board of Trustees and serves on its Cord Blood Scientific/Medical Advisory panel, providing expertise on stem cell biology and transplantation medicine.
