"Basic science researchers serve as pillars of pre-clinical studies for the successful and effective drug treatment plans used for patients in clinic and I feel privileged to be one of them. Being a biochemist by training, I feel honored and fortunate to use my drug discovery skills at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (RCINJ) research community to fight against the dreadful disease of cancer and give hope to our cancer-patient community.
With passion for research and teaching (to train our next generation, an important asset to our institution), my research discoveries with cancer patients in focus (as Dr. Bertino always says) highlights my contribution for fostering the commitment of innovation and exceptional collaborative research environment at RCINJ. And that shows the global research community how the research at RCINJ shapes and leads the way to impact for better cancer patient and their family lives."
