I am excited to be a part of the team at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey in the division of Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology.
Born and raised in New Jersey, and I have always enjoyed caring for pediatric patients and their families. I completed both my undergraduate and MSN program at Rutgers School of Nursing, receiving my Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree in 2011. Starting my nursing career in 1993 on the pediatric unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, I went on to serve many roles in pediatric nursing at RWJ including nurse educator, staff nurse in the pediatric emergency department, Pediatric Trauma Program Manager. My experience includes writing policies, guidelines and instituting quality measures for programs as well as my favorite, providing direct care to pediatric patients and their families
My philosophy of care has always been a team approach with the patient and family as the center of our multidisciplinary team. Every day I am grateful to the patients and families I care for, to trust in me, and am grateful for the team I am lucky to be a part of. I strive to continue to learn and improve the care I provide at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
