Lauren Librizzi, NP, OCN
- Advanced Practice Provider
I am a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner who cares for women with gynecologic malignancies, including cervical, endometrial, ovarian, and vulvar cancers. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized, comprehensive care to patients during all stages of treatment, including diagnosis, surgery, radiation, systemic therapy and survivorship. I have more than a decade of oncology expertise and started my journey here in New Brunswick receiving my Bachelor of Nursing at Rutgers University. I worked for several years at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital providing care for medical oncology patients as well as in outpatient infusion. During this time, I achieved my Oncology Nurse Certification and spent time as a nurse leader. I accepted a position with Gastrointestinal/Hepatobiliary Surgery at Rutges Cancer Institute of New Jersey helping patients with esophageal, colorectal, pancreatic, gastric, liver and bile duct cancers. I served as Nurse Director of Solid Tumor, collaborating with all tumor divisions to provide patient-centered care and enhance patient experience. I then pursued my interest in nursing and completed a Master of Science in Nursing at the College of New Jersey. I am also an active member of several professional organizations including the American College of Nurse Practitioners, Oncology Nursing Society, American Nursing Association and Nurse Pratitioners in Women's Health
I am dedicated to meeting the complex needs of women with pelvic cancers and value the diverse resources Rutgers Cancer Institute brings to their journey including innovative research and novel treatment approaches. I love our patients; they are a true inspiration.
Our Advanced Practice Providers work in collaboration with the physicians in their respective oncology programs and may not always be scheduled directly.
