I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Scranton. As soon as I graduated I knew I wanted to be an oncology Nurse. I started at Hackensack University Medical Center working inpatient. There I cared for solid and liquid tumor patients as well as bone marrow transplant patients. After several years in this role, I decided to continue my journey in oncology to the outpatient community.
In my new role as an outpatient infusion nurse I focused primarily on solid liquid tumor patients. After some time, I returned to school to obtain my Masters of Science in Nursing at Rutgers University in my pursuit to become a nurse practitioner. Shortly after starting this program, I was offered the position to become a nurse clinician. There I worked directly next to physicians in GU, Thoracic, and GI malignancies. After becoming a Nurse Practitioner I started working at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. My first role at Rutgers Cancer Institute was as Nurse Practitioner in Melanoma and Phase 1 Trials. Today I'm pleased to be currently working with the Genitourinary medical oncology team.
