The New Brunswick Area NAACP supports our Hispanic brothers and sisters in our common objectives to improve the quality of life for all in our community. We must continue to uplift each other. Rosabel Pastrana Vázquez moved to NJ in 2007 from Guerrero, Mexico. Mrs. Pastrana is a Health Ambassador in the City of New Brunswick and she considers her fundamental role to be a bridge between the community and the healthcare institutions.
Mariam Merced, MA has been the Director of the RWJ Barnabas Health System- Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Community Health Promotion Program for the past 29 years.
Evelyn J. Rosa, director of the Middlesex College New Brunswick Center, has been serving the New Brunswick community for over twenty years. She is responsible for all aspects of the center’s services which include services and programming to college students and the adult population enrolled in non-credit credit classes. She is an active member on task forces at the college and externally.
