New Brunswick, N.J. –Warren Township resident Rebecca Perkins, president and chief executive officer of The Perkins Partnership, has been named as a member to the Dean and Betty Gallo Prostate Cancer Center’s Community Advisory Board at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ). The Dean and Betty Gallo Prostate Cancer Center is a specialized prostate health resource offering outreach and education activities statewide, as well as a hub for prostate cancer research. CINJ is a Center of Excellence of UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
“Our organization is fortunate to have Rebecca as a member of its Community Advisory Board,” said Board Chair Betty Gallo, who also is the director of public outreach and government affairs for the Dean and Betty Gallo Prostate Cancer Center. “We welcome her expertise in advocacy and her participation in our continuing efforts to educate the public about prostate cancer,” she added.
Gallo noted that Perkins was selected due to her extensive experience in patient advocacy and healthcare initiatives. Along with her leadership role at The Perkins Partnership, a public policy consulting firm focusing on healthcare advocacy, Perkins previously served as senior vice president of the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey. Other positions during her career include executive vice president and chief operating officer of Prosperity New Jersey; and special assistant to the president of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey for external affairs.
