"As a pediatric psychologist, I am committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion by fostering a collaborative team environment and amplifying the voices of survivors and families in my research. My personal connection to childhood cancer as the sister of a survivor fuels my commitment to enhancing support for every child, adolescent, and young adult with cancer. I strive to always include the voice of survivors and families in our research, as their lived experience guides us in identifying the most important research questions and impactful solutions.
I value working with other health professionals who have different backgrounds and experiences, because as a team we are stronger and make better contributions to research and patient care. I’m proud to lead a research team where every voice is heard and valued. My goal is to create an inclusive and supportive work environment for my research staff and trainees by encouraging every team member to share their perspectives and talents.
Together, we are able to make more meaningful progress towards improving the lives of every child, adolescent, and young adult with cancer."
