A digital skin cancer prevention intervention for adolescents and their parents
Aim 1. Refine and finalize procedures and a library of sun safety and general health MMS (teen) and Facebook (parent) messages, employing user-centered design with teens and parents to ensure acceptability and engagement.
Aim 2. Conduct a single arm pilot test of SST Teen + SST Parent with 52 dyads to determine:
a) feasibility of enrolling socio-demographically diverse parent-teen dyads
b) engagement with/acceptability of the MMS intervention via message views and acceptability ratings
c) outcome data collection feasibility (i.e., daily diary, UVR exposure measured by UVR dosimeter)
d) retention rates for teens and parents at 3 and 6 months for planning study design.
