Leslie Taylor began her career with Matrix Development Group, one of the Northeast’s most respected real estate investment and development firms, at its inception in 1980. As Controller, she played a leading role in the expansion of the company from a three-person operation into a full service real estate investment firm with holdings throughout New Jersey and the Mid Atlantic region. As Vice President and Partner, Leslie’s responsibilities were expanded to include corporate image development, and marketing of the corporate parent and its individual projects.
Leslie left Matrix to lead a new partnership formed by the Rockefeller family to acquire more than 800,000 square feet of office and research and development space in Princeton Forrestal Center in Princeton. As Managing Director of the project, she successfully directed the corporate re-positioning, leasing, marketing and asset management of this $100 million portfolio into the campus known as College Park at Princeton.
Following this successful repositioning Leslie returned to Matrix to head its newly formed Special Events Division. In this capacity, Mrs. Taylor directed the strategic creation and production of special event programs for Matrix, as well as for corporate and charitable organizations throughout New Jersey and the metropolitan area. Under her leadership, Matrix Special Events produced some of the metropolitan areas largest special events – among them New Jersey gubernatorial inaugural events, Senate campaign fund raising events, the Princeton International Rowing Regatta, the opening of the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, and the JPMorgan International Council.
